Students will complete an annotated bibliography in preparation for their class presentation and discussion. The annotated bibliography must include 4-5 sources on the assigned topic for both the affirmative and negative positions, for a total of 8-10 sources. After giving the appropriate bibliographic entry for each source, students should compose an annotation of approximately 2 paragraphs per source. The first paragraph should summarize the content of the source. The second paragraph should describe how the source contributes to the position’s argument. Students should strive to use different resources from their debate partners; no more than two resources can be used by both team members. Students must also incorporate at least four (4) Scripture passages into the assignment; these passages may support or contradict a particular position on the topic.
