Write an Annotated Bibliography for research paper (Assignment part B)
For this assignment, provide an annotated bibliography of the sources you will use in your research paper (part B assignment). Find the most current publications and research relevant to your topic. You may use scholarly journal articles, academic books and monographs, and government reports to support your paper. You must use a minimum of 6 resources.
In 3-4 pages, your paper must:
Identify the sources you are going to use in your research paper.
List each source in APA format, followed by the annotation.
Explain the main findings or contributions from each source (2-3 sentences).
Evaluate why or how this source is useful for your research paper (2-3 sentences).
Be sure to cite and support all your research and recommendations in APA format. Compose your work in a .doc or .dox file type using a word processor (such as Microsoft Word, etc.) and save it frequently to your computer. For those assignments that are not written essays and require uploading images or PowerPoint slides, please follow uploading guidelines provided by your instructor.
Assignment Part B (Research Paper) – due November 17
In 5-7 pages (1250-1750 words), your paper must:
Identify a drug that appears on the Drug Enforcement Administration’s schedule of drugs and explain the history of the regulation of that drug.
Identify the demographic characteristics of those who are most likely to abuse or misuse that drug, and/or to be arrested for misuse of this drug.
Apply a criminological theory to explain the abuse or misuse of this drug.
Explain the efforts by the criminal justice system to prevent the abuse or misuse of this drug. Are these efforts sufficient?
Finally, recommend what you believe ought to be the next steps relevant to the enforcement of that drug.
